Correct the mind map


This task will help students to memorise key items of hardware found in or connected to computer systems.

1) Get students into pairs. Hand out the incorrect mind map. Ask students to find as many things as they can that are incorrect and then to correct them by writing on the sheet and crossing things out. Don't tell students how many errors there are. Use a countdown clock.

3) After e.g. 10 minutes, go though with students the errors they found. Students

5) Ask students if they can find any additional items of input or output devices that could be added.

6) What other pieces of equipment might be added?

7) Are there any other ways / better ways to reorganise the mind map? How might the mind map be improved?

8) Students to produce their own corrected mind map individually. Use freemind or similar.
